| Shes an elegant looking woman, Rei is. She knows it too, but that's a whole other ball game. When looking at Rei one would immediately realize she was blessed in the looks department. Possessing black hair which is normally brushed neatly, but often ends up a tangled mess anyway when she decides to leave her home on what she refers to as misadventures into more densely populated and shibito covered areas of Hanuda. She has a pair of bright green eyes, that she was told she inherited from her mother, even if Rei has no recollection of her mother, or anyone in her family and assumes them dead. Before this incident she recalled people complimenting her rare smiles, either way, she knows she's got looks and man will she use them to get what she wants... sometimes.
• Overall Appearance
Rei's body is long and lithe, standing at 5' 7", her toned muscles are now coming in handy more than she would ever be able to thank the gods above. In it's entirety Rei looks petite, but she makes sure people know that she may look tiny but it doesn't at all mean she can't take care of herself. On the average day, she wear's simple things, a simple black shirt and pants are her usual dress, as wearing things such as her red dress which sits in her closet on a hanger is something that would come as a hindrance more than a help. After all, its survival, not a runway show. Rei has one other secret, on all of her clothing, no matter where it is, be it blatant or hidden, there is always a butterfly somewhere on it. Many of her clothing items keep the butterfly design hidden but there are a few that show it off like a gold trophy.

• Overall Personality | A pleasant woman in general, Rei can be characterized by her rather reserved but friendly mannerisms. She wouldn't cast another survivor away when they need help, but she wouldn't be the type to ever play hero. She doesn't often ever allow people closer than an arm's length, distrusting most and knowing that pretty much everyone will eventually end up as Shibito at one point or another. So why allow yourself the burden of bonding to someone, and letting them in when the next time you see each other, he or she could be an angry murderous rampaging Shibito who's after you and not in the pleasant way. No, they'd want to murder you and make you one of them. Like any common person, Rei does not find that at all to be a nice thing at all. So, she avoids the problem entirely and decides to just not bother with people beyond a business level.
She is a quirky woman, she tries to maintain her former life before this incident. In fact, if you catch her at the right time, she may invite you into her home for a while to catch up on the news of the latest locations of large Shibito populations. After all, knowing is everything and when you know your enemy, and know where your enemies are, well. Then you've got yourself a tactical advantage. Rei hates to get herself into combat with the shibito, it often is dirty and she hates to get herself dirty even in the slightest bit. So, she avoids it by hiding, and making some pretty serious attempts and often rather successful attempts at stealth as long as there's no flying shibito around. Which brings her to her strongest dislike of the shibito, the spider-esque shibito that climb walls and ceilings like those damn arachnids she hates. Spider shibito could be considered her only real fear, and from that she gets violent, unlike many women who'd scream and point she decides to eradicate the problem and get her ass out of there.

• Overall history | Her childhood is something to this day that she cannot remember. Faces are just blurs and names never ring a bell, ever. As a kid she was born to her mother and father, here in the village of Hanuda before things got as bad as they did. Her father worked in the hospital as a doctor, and her mother followed suit in the same line of work. Rei's childhood was normal, she was a kid, she made friends and did everything that a kid was supposed to do, until the accident of course. As a child Rei had a bit of an ego and she defended it vehemently. So when a boy had said a girl could never climb higher than him on a tree, well she had to prove him wrong. She just had to, so without even a prompt, she began to crawl up the tree, and eventually she had reached three or four feet higher than the boy who had now climbed out of the tree. However Rei miscalculated the strength of the branch she was standing on and took a tumble.
After that accident she was unable to recall anyone, family, friends or anything. It was like memories had been erased from her mind.
Apparently that was a good thing, her parents they had been secretly against the Mana religion all of this time. Instead they decided not to worship Kaiko, and with that came many dangers. Rei doesn't know or remember this, as she was in the hospital at the time being treated for her minor head injury. But her parents had been taken away on a "Call" to another part of the hospital which really was where a group of people whom had figured out their secret were lying in wait. It was there that her parents were executed, and it was there that all she remembers was getting her head bandaged up and blacking out for a little while before waking up once more in the same hospital room. A nurse had said she was free to leave and guided her out of the hospital and she left. The kid didn't understand the glares she got from people, hell she didn't even know them.
Yes this memory loss of hers was a definite good thing. The village could expose her to Kaiko's greatness once more. So they attempted it, she lived with a family that "adopted" her for a while and tried to get the child into the Mana religion. Well, unfortunately it didn't work. Even the mention of the name Kaiko to her caused the kid to become nauseous and often get horrible headaches. They blamed her parents for letting her climb trees for this behavior, but at least knew she was trying to pay attention. So, in a way her memory loss saved her life, not remembering her parents and what they had told her of the Mana religion was a good thing, because even now. She isn't a true supporter of the Mana religion, and keeps that secret heavily guarded. No man, woman or thing would ever drag that secret from her.
When she hit the age of any student who wished to go to a higher level school, she did. Leaving Hanuda behind her for the big city and off to an art school that would teach her the basics of fashion and give her the tools she needed to be successful in the world. Her schooling was actually something she was pretty good at, However, she needed to pay for schooling on her own, which that in itself was a very very hard thing to do after she graduated. But she found herself a job in the big city, and worked for years, tirelessly before at one point she suddenly lost inspiration for everything. At the recommendation of her boss, she took time off. The year? 1976. So, she packed her belongings from the city, and headed out. This was the year she found her way back to Hanuda, and this was the year when her entire life went topsy-turvy. It was just three days after her return that a ritual had taken place.
Whatever the ritual was, it rose the dead and turned her parents into Shibito as well. She grabbed the nearest object she could to defend herself with and proceeded to knock out those shibito, and run. Far away from the home she had, and then found shelter in an empty home for the night. She was scared; terrified even. But she sure as hell was not going to let herself be killed, even if the numbers were an entire village to one. Now, as she found out there is more than her left in the village, she made herself a friend. Or should she say, former friend. A person from her childhood had found refuge in the same house she was hiding in when they had found each other. Rei barely knew who he was, but he was human, so that meant he was good. They hid out in the tiny home on the edge of the village for quite some time.
That was until she met her biggest fear, and worst nightmare. The spider shibito. Rei has strong survival instincts. Friend or not, she tossed him in the way of her and the spider shibito with nothing to defend himself with but his fists and ran from the scene. Eventually she found herself another empty home, which this one she didn't make the mistake of allowing anyone inside for an extended period of time. This would serve as her "home" for now.

RP Sample ; Taken From: Calamity's Cry ; Character: Oerba Yun FangFang stared at them, rather the entire crowd below her. She had taken residence on the roof of one of the buildings within Archades. The night was finally clear once more and she drew in a breath, frowning slightly. The people below, they were paired up and dancing in a way she'd never even thought existed. She was mildly curious, back on Gran Pulse dances were far more intimate than this, and well they were for more ceremonial reasons than this. So, she sat on a roof and observed the square below, curious but also rather disinterested in a way. Archadian culture was quite different from the one she knew as her home. After all, things on Gran Pulse were communal, here an individual had to really work their asses off to get anywhere in the world, because instead of people helping one another it was every man for himself. It vaguely reminded her of a traveling roving tribe that once in a while visited Oerba with goods, like the Sari she had bought and wore to this day.
That tribe lived in a combination of being communal but also individuals had to make money and the like on their own or they wouldn't eat that night. Running a hand through her black hair, she continued to watch the people dance the night away. Apparently this month was supposed to celebrate love. Pshaw. Love, she loved her family and her friends more than anything in the world, why would she want to celebrate just loving one person? It was like giving one dog a bone and leaving the other to starve. Either way, this culture was starkly different than her own, and so she'd watch and learn, she'd have to in order to assimilate, and not scare the pants off of every man who lacked a little back bone. After all, if someone was afraid of a woman that had a little swagger, then well, she would be extremely concerned if say a giant monster ever decided to attack this place. Even the soldiers seemed to be a little intimidated by her. It made her smirk.
The only person on record who wasn't intimidated by her was the Judge. He had no reason to be afraid of her, which was obvious in the way they spoke much of the time. She'd gained what she'd call a friendship with the armored figure, and perhaps that was a good thing. Apparently he had status here, and apparently status was everything no matter what subject you were talking about. Looking up to the sky, she rolled her eyes, you weren't able to see the stars. Sad really, she bet that none of the people here had ever seen the stars in the sky, or ever were able to lay on their backs and try and count them all. So was the life of those who lived in the city, Fang herself was a free spirit, and despite her urges to leave the city and explore outside of the confines of Archades, she was bound here. She needed to repay the debt she owed the judge before she went off and did anything else. It was the way she was raised, if someone was giving you a roof over your head and such, you better pay them back.
Her thoughts however were interrupted, rather abruptly. Her ears picked up the sound of footsteps. Now who the hell could have found her all the way up here?
