• Overall Appearance
Oksana stands about 5'3 which is rather short for her age and she has a young looking face which people often mistake her for being younger than her actual age, often thought to look 15. She natural light blonde hair and icy deep blue eyes which are always analyzing people and her surroundings. She has a thin nose that centers her face and pink full lips that are most times displaying a pout or giving a disproving frown. She has a small frame and is naturally thin, with a small bustline. From looking at her one would notice a small scar on her forehead she got from falling from a slide at age 6.
Oksana dresses modestly, often wearing warm sweaters or decorative blouses, nothing with a low neckline. She'll often wear patterned printed skirts with solid colored tights or comfortable skinny jeans with boots. She wears a silver pendent given by her Russian grandparents around her neck and almost never takes it off. Her long blonde hair is usually well maintained and glossy and is usually tied back in a ponytail or a braid, but her bangs are parted to the side of her face.

• Overall Personality | Oksana has a serious personality and for the most part very reserved and introspective. She tries her best to be polite with people but has a knack for judging others immediately when she meets them. First impressions are everything in her eyes. She doesn't like to socialize much and has few friends, but those she is close to are invaluable friends whom treat her with respect. She's not very friendly and comes off cold. When she does decide to speak up or make conversation it is either to chastise someone's behavior or she finds the person interesting enough to chat with. She has a special dislike of people that are pretentious, or condescending towards her and makes it a point to let them know it.
Her more warmer characteristics come out with her family and a select group of friends whom she has gotten close to. She is very loyal and a dependable person to talk to, especially when it comes to keeping secrets and is willing to give advice if asked. She'll unravel her interests to her close companions and will every now and then share her interests.

• Overall history |
Oksana was born in Seattle, Washington in the United States. Her father serves in the US Military, stationed on a base on the coast of Seattle where she grew up as an army brat. In her younger years she was an impressionable child, often very curious but mindful of her mother and father. At age 6 she fell off a playground slide and split open her forehead in which she recieved 7 stitches. Her parents noticed a change in her personality and she became less inclined to participate with other children and resorted to reading and indoor activities.
Even though being an only child, her longs visits with her relatives in Moscow led her to look up to her 2 older cousins and perceived them as older sisters. They were enamored by her and taught her Russian customs and games, as well as looked after Oksana.
She truly loves her family and respects them most of all. Growing up, Oksana did well in school but struggled with social life which lead to the development of her personality which has made her stronger throughout the years.
Recently her father has been relocated on a base off Japan's coast. Her mother choose to stay behind to keep working in Seattle while Oksana decided she would follow her father until he is moved back to Washington.
Japan has been quite a culture shock to the young American but she is trying to get accustomed to the new change. The new university she is attending in Japan is for overseas English speaking students which Oksana is comfortably adjusting too. The new friends she has encountered have helped her to loosen up a bit and she is learning to relax a little.
Upon a dare by her new friends, she is going to Hanuda which is supposedly a "cursed" abandoned village which the living dead roam. She is going to prove that the whole thing is a hoax and when she gets back they owe her a pizza.
Except when she steps off the bus and starts walking on the path towards the village an earthquake violently turns her world upside down.

RP SampleNaoko Mihama was crouching under a counter in an empty grocery store. She had earlier locked the door and shut off the lights after checking that there was no unwanted company. The living dead kind that is.
The black-haired tv reporter hugged her legs to her body to generate some warmth since the linoleum floor was quite chilly. She shakily reached into her rose pink jacket for a lighter. She grabbed a carton of camels and flipped the lid back only to find there were none left waiting for her. "Shit" she spat.
Naoko was totally freaked out and she needed a cigarette NOW.
"Wait."
She could have slapped herself.
A grocery store probably has them in the back, stupid.
She shook her head and sighed irritably. After rocking up onto her red stilettos, Naoko walked toward the back of the counter.
Cigarette cartons were lined up with different brand names all brightly colored with detailed designs and logos. She scanned them and picked a black carton lined with pink trim reading, "Camel Lights".
She snatched them and started hammering them into her hand to get the tobacco loose. Mihama slid her butt onto the counter and lit one.
After taking a long drag she looked outside at the darkness of the night.
Naoko had bolted after the earthquake. There was no way in hell she was going to stay for the aftermath. She had been in one incident and knew the consequences of sticking around for too long. Images of blue skinned men with blood running down their face suddenly flashed through her mind and she immediately took another puff.
"Dammit, I'm going to fire my agent for this!"
After calming herself down with the smokes she jumped back onto the floor and strolled over to the magazine rack trying to preoccupy herself. She sifted through a couple and then spotted one that caught her eye. It had a bright orange cover with the title "STARR". A young a upcoming actress was posed on the front with bright brown eyes and sugary sweet smile. She quickly flipped to the article the girl was featured in. "Eat your heart out! being brought back for a fresh run! Actress Miyuki Tanaka set to star!"
Naoko scanned the article then cried out in anguish. HER TV show was being brought back and she wasn't even going to appear in it??!! No one had contacted her?!
She threw the magazine to the ground and stomped it with her heel. OF ALL THE NERVE!
Suddenly something blitzed through her head. She clutched it in pain as an image was pulsing in her mind. She focused in on it. Heavy breathing could be heard and whoever it was was coming down the street where the shop was. He was carrying an ax and two others were with him. One carried a pistol and the other a bat. They both looked grimy and blood was dripping from their eyes.
Naoko snapped to attention. Fuck.
She fled towards the back through the aisles. Arriving at the end she turned her head both ways looking for a door. One sandwiched between a row of cereal and a row of cookies. She promptly turned the handle peered inside. It was a storage room filled with bulk and various equipment. She heard shuffling behind her and glanced back.
Grunts and indecipherable murmurs echoed through the store. If that were any indication that the shibito had entered, flashlight beams bounced off the walls in search of prey. Luckily the aisles were scattered so shrewdly that it blocked their vision temporarily hiding Naoko.
Dammit I gotta move fast.
Naoko quietly closed the storage door behind her and noticed there was a locking switch on the handle and gladly switched it. Hopefully that would hold until she could find another door.
