FAQ
Q: Do I have to have played a Siren game to join?
A: Not necessarily, though I’d appreciate it if you watched some walkthroughs and/or cutscenes from the games to get a grasp on what’s going on. Some of the best walkthroughs are found on YoutTube, so be sure to check them out.
Q: Awesome! How do I apply?
A: First, create an account. Once you confirm your e-mail, you can find the app in our application section of the forum, here. Once you finish it, post it in the New Applications sections. Then our staff will overview it, if you get approved, you’re good to go!
Q: What different kind of Shibito and weapons will I find here?
A: You can locate all of this information in our handy survival guide, found here. You can also find our rules, and other useful information here.
Q: CAN I CLAIM KAIKO?
A: No.
Q: Is this site going to have any special events?
A: Of course! We are planning them as we speak! Hopefully we’ll be able to get at least one event up per month. Events will be festivals, treasure hunts, or other fun activities to help you further enjoy your time here at SIGHTJACK.
Q: Can I kill Shibito?
A: The answer to this question can be found within the survival guide, located here. However, no, Shibito can not be killed. They are only incapacitated for a certain amount of time and this is dependent on the type of Shibito as well. Information on the Shibito can be found here.
Q: Where can I find weapons?
A: Virtually anything can be used as a weapon, if you'd like to see the guide on what is available and what types of damage they do, click here. As stated in the survival guide you can pick up a weapon at any area, it must makes sense however and carrying six or seven weapons at a time is very impractical. Keep this in mind. This is about survival, not hording items.
Q: What is the plot of the site?
A: SIGHTJACK is purely run on a character driven plot. Like all Siren games, the sound of the Siren is an influential aspect to this. For the most part, characters will be control of what choices they make [ aside from random Shibito encounters ]. However, once the Siren starts to wail, a new cycle of time will start, essentially reseting the events that have transpired on the site to a degree. It is up to the player how much memory their character retains and what items they keep during this new cycle.
Q: All of this is a bit confusing - Cycles? Time? Shibito?
A: Siren is a fairly confusing game in itself, but if you have any questions pertaining to the site that were not answered here, feel free to PM the Admins and we'll answer your questions as best as we can.
